Wheelchair Gloves

Rehadesign wheelchair gloves offer superior durability and grip for enhanced performance in your wheelchair. Our gloves are available in a variety of styles and sizes to cater to every wheelchair users’ need, including options for paraplegics, quadriplegics, and children. All of our gloves (except Flexi-Fit) are crafted from high-quality leather. The collection features full finger, half-finger, and fingerless wheelchair gloves designs.

Gloves for wheelchair users

At RehaDesign, our wheelchair gloves are carefully designed to provide comfort, durability, and functionality. Gloves tailored for wheelchair users protect the hands from calluses and blisters caused by wheelchair pushing and shield the hands from potential hazards like sharp edges and debris. RehaDesign wheelchair gloves offer even better grip and traction, making maneuvering the wheelchair easier and more comfortable. Whether for everyday casual wheelchair use or for active use, our range caters to men, women, and children alike

Here’s what makes RehaDesign wheelchair gloves one of the best options on the market:

  • made from real leather (except Flexi-fit wheelchair gloves)
  • special grip pad in the palm which improves performance (make it easier to push the wheelchair). They improve grip even in the rain.
  • internal lining so the hand is not in contact with the leather. Wheelchair users’ hands work hard and often get hot and sweaty. This can cause dye transfer with cheap leather gloves. Our lining prevents dye transfer.
  • different types of gloves designed for different needs. It is not one type of wheelchair glove for all types of wheelchair users.

If you have good hand mobility, consider these wheelchair push gloves:

  • Ultra-Grrrip Half Finger - half-finger leather wheelchair glove with a grippy palm material designed for an active lifestyle and wet weather

  • Ultra-Grrrip 4-Seasons - full-finger version of Ultra-Grrrip gloves, perfect even for winter
  • Gel-Palm - built for comfort and everyday use, these gloves feature a gel insert that add more hand protection.

Our leather wheelchair gloves also have a special textile fabric on the inside, ensuring your hands stay free from contact with the leather, eliminating the risk of dye transfer, which can happen to wheelchair users who use cheaper quality gloves.

Wheelchair gloves for quadriplegics

For people with reduced hand function, such as quadriplegics (tetraplegics), we have three options, each tailored to their unique needs:

  • Our Strap-N-Roll and Gator gloves are fingerless gloves designed to open wide and allow you to easily insert your hand. They have easy-to-use closures and for many people they are suitable even for independent wear.

  • Fow everyday use, we recommend Flexi-Fit gloves. Designed with soft, lightweight neoprene material they provide grip and protection without reducing the mobility of your hand. Your hands will feel like they are wearing nothing at all.

Wheelchair gloves for children

We offer 3 types of Children's Wheelchair Gloves, designed similarly to our adult gloves. Our Strap-N-Roll gloves are designed with adjustable sizing, allowing them to "grow" with your child's hands. They will fit most children's hands between the age of 4 and 9.

Tough yet comfortable, these wheelchair gloves for kids feature grip material on the palm to aid in pushing, while the soft textile lining ensures a snug fit for young users.

When pediatric gloves get too small, you can order Strap N Roll gloves, size XS or S according to the size chart below.

Before you buy Wheelchair Gloves by RehaDesign

Choose the right push glove size

Please measure your palm as shown in the photo in inches or centimeters. Then look at the chart below to select your glove size:

It might take some time for the gloves to fit your hand.

RehaDesign gloves are made from quality leather. Like a pair of quality leather shoes, they might feel “tight” in the beginning. This is normal. But leather will stretch and conform to fit you in time. Remember that leather is a skin. Soon your gloves will become a “second skin” comfortably fitting and protecting your hand.

However, we understand that some people are not comfortable with this process. If that’s the case for you, we suggest ordering a size larger. If your hand is between two sizes choose the larger size.

Choose your wheelchair gloves according to your hand mobility and intended use

Our gloves are developed for different needs and usage. Please consult the chart below and select the wheelchair gloves that suit your needs the most:
